Bloody pissed

who do you think you are lah. what makes you think you have the right to talk back at me when i am not talking to you. do you know that such behaviour is rude?

in the first place, i'm asking someone else to provide me sumthing. why must you sampuk when i am not asking it from you? if you think that you are somehow incharge of the whole thing, well let me remind you that we are all equals. nobody is bigger or higher than than anyone. i doubt you understand the concept at all. you're just sumone who likes to take charge of everything and be in control of everything.

serves you right when things don't go the way you want them to. authoritarians always lose.

Politics ! Intriguing

Pictures that speak thousand words.
Northern lions Shahidan (above, right) gesturing while having a word with Radzi after prayers at the Putra Mosque in Putrajaya yesterday. Not long after that, Azmi cornered Abdullah (below) to discuss something with him at the mosque. - The Star / RAJA FAISAL HISHAN

Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim the mentri besar and two Cabinet ministers from Perlis, Datuk Seri Azmi Khalid and Datuk Seri Radzi Sheikh Ahmad, have publicly quarrelled on who should lead the state.
Shahidan is alone while Radzi and Azmi are on the other faction. Radzi is very influential bcoz he is the secretary-general of UMNO.

Toshiba Abandons HD DVD

Toshiba Corp. announced Tuesday that it will discontinue its HD-DVD products, handing victory to rival high-definition disc format Blu-ray Disc.

The company said it will no longer develop, manufacture and market HD-DVD players and recorders. Instead it will reduce shipments of HD-DVD players and recorders to retail markets with plans to cease the businesses altogether by the end of March.

But the Japanese electronics giant pledged to provide full product support and after-sales service for owners of Toshiba HD-DVD products.

Recent changes in the market prompted the decision, Toshiba said. Early this year, Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. said it would stop issuing movies on HD DVD in the coming months and rely exclusively on Blu-ray Disc. The Hollywood studio was one of three major studios remaining in the HD-DVD camp, and its defection created widespread belief that the battle between HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc was now over.

More recently, major U.S. retail chain Wal-Mart Stores Inc. announced it would phase out the sale of HD-DVD products, moving to exclusivity with Blu-ray Disc. Electronics retailer Best Buy Co. also said it would back Blu-ray Disc, but it did not say it would stop offering HD DVD.

Warner Bros. made its decision based on consumer confusion and indifference to high-definition movies, an indifference that cost Hollywood lost revenue, it said. Wal-Mart said U.S. customers preferred Blu-ray Disc movies and hardware. Blu-ray Disc is the high-definition disc format championed by Sony Corp.

"This once again shows why incompatible and mutually exclusive formats should be avoided at all cost by the industry," said Carl Gressum, an analyst at Ovum. "It reduces profitability and delays customer adoption."

"The big question is, however, the impact on Toshiba as an electronics company," he added. "It has, after all, bet its disc media business on HD DVD, as well as gone for HD-DVD integration into some of its laptop PCs. The channel has inventory to clear, and demands from owners of HD-DVD players."

Toshiba said its decision came after careful analysis of the long-term impact of continuing the format war, and said a swift decision was called for to help the high-definition market develop.

The company also pledged to remain a player in the high-definition market. Developing HD DVD created many assets for Toshiba and its partners, which include Microsoft, Intel, HP and Universal Studios, the company said. Toshiba plans to work with these companies to seek future business opportunities.

crazy day

today i had a quiz for psycholinguistics. crazy lah. spent the whole of last night studying coz during cny break din do any revising or touch ups. come back my mind straight empty.

in the beginning i thought that the quiz oni cover till lecture 4 mana tau i mixed it up d. actually it is till week 4 which means till lecture 7! i went crazy trying to catch up on wasted time.

the next morning, spent alot of time doing revising. din concentrate in moral class and went out for quite sometime from academic writing class to print notes.

went for lunch and revised while eating. after all those revising, i still dont understand anything! its so much words. the more i read, the more blur i become.

then it was time for the quiz. the class tried to get dr toshiko to postpone the quiz coz everyone not ready. she refused. so the quiz went on. i felt like it was stpm pure maths all over again.

i seriously dont know how to answer. none of the question i can answer 100%.

die d lah this time. next week got morphology and syntax quiz. sei lo..another killer subject.

so fucked up this sem. duno can keep my cgpa up or not..

Bleeding Love

A new star is born. Simon Cowell said she's the toughest contestant in Idol history. i think she's fabulous. Her name is Leona Lewis. I'm falling head over heels for her song Bleeding Love. The UK version video is fantastic. she looks oohh so hot in it. step aside beyonce. here comes leona lewis.

Lewis won the X-Factor reality show which is the equivalent of the US' American Idol. I think she's the best ever Idol. Yes, even better than kelly clarkson and carrie underwood.

Lewis was born in the London district of Islington to parents Aural Josiah, a Guyanese Afro-Caribbean youth worker, and Marie Lewis, a social worker of Anglo-Welsh descent. She is also of Italian and Irish descent on her mother's side.

Her music influences are Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston among others. Coincidentally those are also my all time favourites. Lewis' music genre is the type that i like bcoz it is also the type that Mariah,Celine and Whitney sings. The music industry really needed another singer like her to fill the void that Mariah, Celine and Whitney left when they toned down their careers.

Judge for urself.
