R.A.T

We finished runner up in the RAT. Lost to the hot favourites ReF. We met them twice. First it was quite early and they sent us to the loser's bracket with a humiliating score of 13-5 at the map Crash. We literally got our asses raped. We had no answer for their mid rushes.

So we have to make our way back to the grand finals from the loser's bracket. Team Kuku Gaming and Rx (formerly TeamAura) gave us a run for our money. Hats off to them. Not forgetting team FuDkoT which is basically team XIII Exiles who managed to get 8 or 9 games (cant remember exactly) off us at Backlot.

In the grand final. We meet ReF for the 2nd time in the tournament. They again vetoed Crossfire which is my best map. I chose to veto Crash for my team because of the nightmare we had earlier in the tournament. The map chosen by the organizers were District. We won the knife round and chose defense to start the game. At half time we were already trailing 7-5. The final score was 13-7. All credit to team ReF. They fully deserve this win. They've been training hard with all the strong teams for RAT. For my team which consisted of 2 ESP, 2 Coop and 1 freelance player. We only had 1 real practice session to get to know each others game.

So yeah, that's how it goes. Personally i was a bit upset with myself. Disappointed might be a better word. Lolx. I seriously could not do anything when Sapiyo rushed me at Crash the first time both our teams met early in the tournament. Then at District for not putting up a tougher fight and make ReF sweat for the victory.

Almost 1 week in melaka is sure to mean that my cod4 is rusty already. scg and amateur tourney coming up soon. need to go back to training but i'm addicted to tv dramas again. don't feel like goin back to PJ. when i'm not watching tv, i'm reading. i surprised myself when i finished Eclipse in record time. so intoxicating. can't wait to read breaking dawn.

On KBSWorld, the drama IRIS is showing starring Kim Tae Hee from Love Story in Harvard and Kim So Yeon from All About Eve. ah pretty things.

i don't want to know

What the heck is this? Seriously! Why the media is on such a frenzy on digging up Tiger Woods' private life. It's just a minor accident and how the media can connect it to domestic violence and infidelity is beyond my wildest imaginations. Tiger doesn't owe any of us an explanation. Go to hell Mark Krielgel for saying that Tiger owes the public an explanation because the public buys stuff endorsed by Tiger, because Tiger makes money from the public. To me that is pure bullshit. Tiger did not force the public to buy the stuff endorsed by him. Leave Tiger alone. Respect that man's privacy and please don't come and give me the "freedom of information" lecture cause it's not applicable here.

Some i have known for sometime already but now become much closer because of my affiliation. Almost everyday got ppl ajak to scrim. Sometimes in a single night can scrim with 3-4 teams. Learning more and more things and improving at the same time. It's so fun now. Damn many friends now..hehehe

O M G

I did not know! Damn it. All these while i thought they were some guys using their girlfriends name as their IGN. Lolx.

The FnF-Female na Female COD4 team, which was composed of all girls has proven once more to all that gaming is not only a male hobby. They hail from the Phillipines and i've played with some of them on public servers. They are for real. I've played with Ashley, Aya, Khimphot and Ayoe on public servers. I have to admit that I got my ass kicked a few times. They are really really good snipers. Don't believe me? Go TFK or CEBU servers and try ! Don't say i never warn you.

Try it again !

Another time you come to me and preach to me about religion don't say i never give face. i'll smack the daylights out of you man. i effin hate religion. Forget about changing my views on people that i see as ancient con-artists.

Frustrating

I fail to perform up to expectations again today in a scrim for coop. feel so bad to let my teammates down. my reading of enemy strategy is poor and adapting to their changes is even worse. my cqc abilities have dropped a notch as well. need to buck up. need some intensive training and more scrims.

already gone

Ryan Tedder (lead singer of One Republic) wrote both Beyonce's Halo and Kelly Clarkson's Already Gone. i can detect elements of OneRepublic's music in both songs. people have also been saying that both songs are similiar. i wouldn't totally agree to that though. the similiarities are not too many and quite subtle. i prefer Already Gone anytime over Halo. there were rumours in the music industry that says kelly was upset that her song is being compared to Halo. in my opinion she has nothing to worry about. her song is beautiful and won't pale in comparison. i would say that Already Gone is Kelly's best song up to now. just fantastic. it is already added to my all-time favourite list of songs. i don't know why i like heartbreak songs. lolx.

btw, kelly is gorgeous in the music video. i love the part where she is reclining on the sofa wearing the satin dress..wow. i also like the part where there are no male models in the MV. leaves the singer and listener connection pure.

Already Gone have my vote for the Grammys.

Ironies

When life's pace is slow i need music to speed it up, fast beat music that is. But when life's pace is too fast for me, i turn to music as well to slow it down. Not the fast beat one but more to the sentimental genre, R&B you know that sort of kind.

Life's ironies. Lolx

i-16

i-16 was damn fun but tiring as well. we were drawn against esp#paNIK in the first round. It was double elimination. So one map was played only. the winners of the knife round got to choose the side. the organizers chose the maps for us. esp won the knife round and the map was district. we lost 13-7. good try though. We're not really that disappointed as i have seen improvement in my team. furthermore we were up against the eventual champs and msia's no1 team. so no regrets. we were then dropped into the losers bracket where we faced pendulum_revive. The map was strike. we drew 12-12 on mr12. on mr3 we lost 4-1. abit sad though for this one as the win was there for the taking. too bad we couldn't keep our composure at the vital moments. anyway gg guys. let's improve more. we'll give esp a better fight next time.

in terms of personal achievements, i felt that today i performed quite well. however, i'm still no match for quacks super fast reflexes. when he took over the smg. i was in deep trouble whenever i met him. just couldn't out reflex him. just too fast and too good. even when he had sniper, his deagle still pwned me. sigh. need to really buck up. against pendulum, basically i had no problems individual wise. team work wise. we need to improve.

Below is a picture of my team with SWL.aBuse at i-16.

Promod Tour

It was a successful event. Had so much fun. However the end was kinda frustrating for me. I was deprived of an official runner-up spot by Eric's butt. He caused Rojak's PC to restart which meant all records for my server were gone. So i had to "o-jus" with another player to see who got 2nd prize. WTF weii..no fair man..anyway that guy was steady la..b4 we "o-jus" we agreed that we should split the money gained from the prize after selling it. But money isn't my concern..i wan the recognition..if i'm not mistaken i had 400+ points lor..clearly a runner-up spot. sighz.

the champion was KePang as i expected. he had no challenge. no one's skill level is anywhere near him. furthermore i was in different server than him. if i had been his opponent, i might be able to do something about his "IMBA" score of 500+.

i might wan to join again tml if D&G gives me the green light. i wan go sapu the DeathAdder. Wahaha.

Freedom at last?

Is this it? Is this what i have been waiting since 3 years ago when i stepped foot to PJ? i don't know yet for sure till results are out but officially now..i am free. i can do whatever i want. no classes, no assignments, no exams, no more headaches!

Yesterday was the last paper which was professional writing. After that paper, we went to watch Gamer which was quite nice but many cuts already compared to the first screening. Fuck malaysian censorship board.

after movie, we went to puchong for our late lunch. had steamboat. the malak soup fuckin hot. regret i chose that. should have went for tom yam soup.

after that we went to look out point. in a convoy weii..syoknye. we reach quite late around 10. but it was so nice. the weather was so cooling. the mist and the breeeze and the fresh air..wow.

Had alot of fun. thx peeps. it hasn't really sunk in that this is our last outing. we wont meet each other already until around convocation. i know i will be sad soon.

in a few hours, there's the promod tour for me to win. must get some rest now so that i can be in top condition. i got no excuses this time if i don't win. i will consider it a failure.

ACC2

The Asian Call of Duty 4 Championships (ACC) season 2 is kicking of this monday. 40 teams from countries all around Asia will be competing this season. Last season saw teams from Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and India taking part. This season, the ACC really takes on the Asian flavour as teams from Japan, Korea, China, Thailand and many more countries will be joining.

I can't wait to start going. Been waiting for so long for season 2 to start. This is so exciting. Each team can have a lineup of 10 people. It is an increase from the 7 of last season. ACC2 is also recognized by ESPGL and points can be earned for the PSL rankings chart.

Bring on the international challenge man. Asian superstardom is within reach. Looking to perform well here and get noticed by pro clans..woohooo

omgomgomgiminheaven

Woah, what a night! Damn untung sial. I saw a damn damn pretty eurasian chick sitting at the table opposite mine. I found myself unable to stop staring at her direction. Omg..her face is still in my mind now 3 hours later..her eyes mcm got magnet 1..so beautiful. oh man..

She looks alot like choilin. duno if it's her.

Nerd rage

Today, we had a scrim with rF. The scrim wasn't perfect because the line in blitz was giving us ping spikes. we played 3 maps: crash, strike and crossfire. the first 2 maps were ok but during the 3rd map one of our guys went crazy and erupted like a volcano. we gamers called it a nerd rage. he just slammed the table, threw his mouse away and walked out. the mouse flew across my face and landed near my friend. i was like "WTF! is going on". It was just the lag. i don't know why he was so upset about it. cope with it man.

in my opinion, ppl like this should not get involved in serious gaming. if you want to call urself a gamer, you must be able to endure being pwned, humiliated, scolded and taunted. if you can't do that then dont play! get lost and play at home.

it's all a learning curve. come on ! kiasu also no need until like this. put the kiasu-ness to good use and improve.

Uber-tiredness

It's 2.41 am now. so it was yesterday that we went to 1u to watch final destination. it was at 11..but i had to wake up way b4 that to pay my room's rental to the new house leader. he sux. says he will be there at 8am but i see no sign of him. waste my sleeping time.

went to movie and he called me again as the movie was finishing. i had to rush back to section17 from 1u to pass him the rental. when i reached home, he wasn't around. i am super pissed by now. ask me to come back and he not around. made me go around looking for him. fuk u lah.

final destination 4 sucks. it was so unreal that i was laughing and saying "wtf" all the way. directors and producer, you guys did a good job of losing the fan base frm final destinations 1,2,3.

then went to blitz. din play today. just watch. dont feel like it. after that went to steven's corner for supper. argh super tired but had great fun today.

US Open

The US Open tennis grand slam is on its way. i can't wait to get back home and follow all the action. R Fed, Nadal and Sharapova all cruised past the first round. This means more incentive for me to watch..without this 3 around i wouldn't be so keen to follow it.

Hopefully this time Sharapova can do well. at least she can win something in an injury blighted year.

Opportunity to learn

Yesterday in the middle of a scrim with esp.neMesis, quack from esp.Bz xfired me and asked me to play for his team in a scrim with XIII this saturday because they are short of players. i wanted to answer him immediately but did not have a chance as i was concentrating so hard on the scrim against neMesis.

i had to make him wait so long for my reply..truly felt bad for it. sorry quack.

anyway, i 'm so happy to be given a chance to play for his team, the no1 team in malaysia. it's an honor to play with them as it will allow me to learn so much stuff.

playing with the best smg player in quack gives me the chance to learn the tricks and secrets of close quarters combat. further more, with the best assault rifle player in Susu and the best sniper in Nobie covering my back, i feel so safe. it allows me more freedom to do more and not worry about being shot from behind.

this is really a golden opportunity. thank my lucky stars that quack actually thought of me when finding a replacement.

hopefully i can fit into their gameplan and follow all their strategy and commands. so nervous..hahaha

The Megasoma & Naga plus a StarCraft II themed bag

Professional gaming equipment maker Razer just announced the coming release of two new line of products. They are the Megasoma hybrid gaming mat and the MMO gaming mouse, Naga.

The development of the Razer Megasoma was driven by a single goal; create a mouse pad that compromises nothing. We combined the best features of a hard and soft mat to create a hybrid of tracking excellence. The result is a pro gamer validated mat that blends the legendary tracking of our hard mats with the comfort and feel of our soft mats.

Constructed from highly durable translucent silicone and accented with a luminous imbedded logo, the Razer Megasoma is the most tracking proficient mouse pad ever created. Nothing compromised; nothing comparable.

The Razer Megasoma is a hybrid of a hard and a soft mouse mat which fuses superior tracking quality and precision of a hard mat with a comfortable feel and an incredibly smooth glide of a soft mat.

The ultra-durable dent-free surface of an oversized hard mat are made for wide hand movements, while enjoying the translucent silicone of the Megasoma and its unique luminous logo shining through.

Also, the flexibility of silicone makes the Razer Megasoma extremely portable, letting you roll up and take your game to your favorite LAN sessions.

Writer's comment: What attracted me the most about this mat is the brilliant white colour of the mat and the greenish luminescent logo. I've also been long intrigued by the feel and advantages offered by the hard gaming mat as i only owned a soft mat, thus this hybrid that offers the best of both worlds is a must get for me.

The Razer Naga is the ultimate Massively Multiplayer Online Gaming mouse that shifts the balance between keyboard and mouse by putting an unprecedented number of in-game commands in one place. A multi-button thumb grid and Razer’s MMO game interface add-on combine to place every command you need in the palm of your hand. An ergonomic form shaped to maximize ease of use lets you game in comfort for hours on end.

ACC Grand Finals

Well today is THE day. The day that had been so eagerly awaited by the SEA cod4 community. The Asian Call of Duty Championship (ACC) Grand Finals is on. It will be a straight out battle between ESP.Gaming of Malaysia and JEDI DP from Singapore. Being a Malaysian and friends of the ESP players, i definitely wish for them to win.

The 3rd & 4th placing match took place not long ago. it was between Cooperative Gaming Asia (Coop) from Indonesia and SWL from Malaysia. Coop emerged the winner in this battle as they beat out SWL 2-0. The first map Crash which was SWL's strength saw them lost out 13-10. The second map, Crossfire was taken by Coop 13-8.

Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna

It's 5.30 am now. I just finished watching Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. I found it so meaningful. Its about two marriages. One, an arranged and loveless marriage and the other a marriage that failed because of lack of communication. The movie contained elements ranging from laughter, suspense, sadness, happiness to anger and disappointment. It's really fantastic.

Dev(Shah Rukh) must be stupid. With a wife as beautiful as Rhea(Preity Zinta), how can he not love her? How can he not talk to her? If i were him, i would love her with all my heart. Hold her and talk to her every second, every minute, every hour of the day. How could he cheat on her? Oh so sad.

Ok enough comments bout the plot. Now i want to mention the other characters in the movie. Maya (Rani Mukherjee) is the woman that Dev had an affair with. Maya is the wife of Rishi(Abhishek Bachchan). I absolutely loved her acting in this movie. She played her character so well. Though many would love to hate her, but remember she's just doing her job. And oh her voice. Some find it irritating, but i loved it. hehe. Abhishek's acting not bad, i think he did quite a good job. I was a bit disappointed with Shah Rukh's acting. Maybe it's the character. I don't know. I reserve my judgment. Amitabh Bachchan who played the part of Rishi's father, Samarjit did very well. That's to be expected from the revered and respected Amitabh. As for Preity, she did quite well too. She's absolutely gorgeous in movie. However, in some shots her high cheekbones can be quite irritating but she's still very pretty for sure.

That's all for now. Gotta sleep. Next movie is Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. i can't wait to watch Kajol. There's Kareena Kapoor as well. Wheew.

Pwn-age

Woooohooo...had not had so much fun in a long long time already. I never regret going to game today. Pwning asses from the start, no warm up needed, it's been a long time coming man..the pent up aggression.

Was top fraggin for sometime when suddenly at the bottom left corner of the screen i saw "Susu has joined the game". I thought, i'm on a hot streak, doesn't matter 1 lah. In a blink of an eye, an ominous warning sign appeared. I was sniped by susu. Then the hot streak became a cold dying streak. I was like KNN WTF !!!

I have to admit, susu alwiz pwn my ass. no argument bout that, doesn't matter if i'm a hot streak or not. when he's playing, he pours cold water onto ppl's hot streaks. he's still the no1 in msia.

Jobs jobs jobs

I'm now caught up in job hunting spree d. Preparing resume, looking for vacancies and trying to find strings to pull. Why i start all this even when i havent grad? haha this is actually what everybody does but keeps quiet about. when u wait to apply for jobs when u grad. its too late already. most employers will ask u during interview. why wait till now only apply? my friends all went thru this and they related it to me..so thankful

It damn fun ler. Few days ago, OCBC called me up and offered me a job as a management trainee. The programme only ends on 31 Dec. I still have plenty of time to take up the offer when i grad.

Today SIME Darby had a walkin interviu for their management trainee programme as well.i wanted to go for experience but decided not to because i had to finish up my fyp.what a waste lah. I heard from my friends that went, there were thousand of people there. SIME Darby weiihh...who don't want sial.

My mum called me to inform that Public Bank got management trainee programme as well. They offer 1.6K salary. For me, i would say no way. 1.6k is too little. My friend in RHB got 3k. Public Bank wanna bully ppl ni.

i wonder if Genting got this programme or not. Khazanah? Permodalan? Oh ya, my friend said British American Tobacco started their management trainee programme again. Woah BAT, elite company ler. Wanna try d.

Lolz. Lets hope for the best.

MJ dead at 50 (1958-2009)

It came as a complete and utter shock to me. JC told me that Michael Jackson is dead. I said, "What? Michael Jackson? Why? When?"

Apparently i woke up late and didn't tune in to the radio. Almost all stations are reporting the news and playing the King of Pop's songs in tribute.

The reported cause of death was allegedly cardiac arrest. This was according to his brother, Jermaine.

I'm now typing this with droplets of tears forming in my eyes. The memories of listening to his songs when i was young, in primary and secondary all come flooding back.

I am so sad now. The world have just lost another icon. Some may say that he's twisted or a child molester. But i nvr nvr believed any of that. He's still some one i adore. His music is the defining music that i grew up to. It shaped my childhood and youth.

Thank you Michael Jackson for everything that you gave us.

To all the fan's of MJ out there, You Are Not Alone. I grieve with all of you.

And worst of all the passing of MJ came hot on the heels of another sad news.

The day before, just before i slept, news of the death of Farrah Fawcett started emerging. Many wouldn't know who she is but i know because i actually watched the original Charlie's Angels on tv. I was devastated. Farrah passed away on June 25, 2009 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 62.

I actually had a poster of Farrah somewhere in my home. I can't remember where i got hold of it or who gave it to me. She's the sex symbol of the 70's an 80's and had the hairdo that all women wanted then.

So yeah, this is the picture/poster that i was talking about. It is said that this poster is the best selling poster of all time. It adorned 12 million bedroom walls back then, be it boys or girls because she was adored by both.

RIP Michael and Farrah.

So sad...

Blown away

I watched Koffee with Karan on youtube..this particular episode which featured Ms Universe 2000 Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif really impressed me so much that i am still in awe 24 hours later. The way they speak was so beautiful, composed and with poise that it totally blew me away. I wish i could speak like that. Their language were perfect complete with their accents. Just love it. I think these two are the only Indian actresses that speak English without Indian accent from all the episodes of Koffee with Karan that i have watched. Lara's sounded like RP and Katrina's more like the US's accent. I absolutely loved the episode that feature Kajol,SRK and Rani Mukerji. So funny and entertaining.

On another matter, regarding the prev post. FYP supervisor chasing me already. Haih..i duno how to do lah.

New friend met

Yesterday, spent the whole day showing my friend around PJ. He came up for a job interview.

Later, we went to midvalley to meet up with his friend. We ate at Chillies. Freaking expensive lah. However, it was worth it because i got to know a new friend.

Her name was Chrystal. She's got a hot body and pretty face and had the added bonus of height. Hehe. Damn untung ler yesterday.

She's gonna start working in E&Y next month. She's damn lucky that she got a good job in such a bad economic situation.

Today, went to 1U to watch State of Play. During the movie, Kelvin msged me asking me to meet up with him and Lee Fuan at midvalley. So i decided to ask mohan and kepang along la since we're all classmates in F6.

This time we ate at Kim Gary. At least the price is more reasonable than Chillies.

It is kinda crazy though thinking about how much i spend for food this past week. Forked out around 30 bucks when i went back to meet up with frens at Bamboo Hut. Then this 2 midvalley dinners cost me around 50 bucks. Argh..80 bucks on 3 dinners. That's outrageous. Gotta save already.

That's all for this time. Will write again soon.

Destinasi Jakarta

I am really smitten hard this time. It's been driving me to distraction lately. I believe this is the first time i've felt so intensely about someone. Usually i will forget a crush by 4 days, but this is almost 2weeks already.

She's Monica Nicholle Sandra Dewi Gunawan Basri. Dia mempunyai darah Cina, Belanda, Palembang dan Sunda. Exotic. Patutlah cantik menawan.

So, bila aku lulusan saja pengajianku destinasi pertamaku adalah Jakarta. Will take a long vacation there. Get to know the culture there and moga berjumpa Sandra Dewi.

I think i'm in love with you Sandra Dewi. Aku yakin kamu cowok yg cocok dengan ku dan aku pria yg sesuai menjadi pacar mu..

Rachel Alexandra, what a beautiful name. Stumbled across it reading the news on horse racing. Haha. Yeap, it's a horse's name. This filly won the Preakness Stakes, the first one in 85 years. She beat out all the other colts including Mine That Bird that won the Kentucky Derby.

The owner must be damn magnanimous to give a horse such a beautiful name. While reading the news, you won't miss it because it pulls ur eye towards it. Lol

Perdana Discourse Series

Today was the second time i was able to see and hear Tun Dr. Mahathir speak in person. Although he's 84 this year, his mind is still so sharp and his physical appearance is tip top. Though i disagree with many of his policies and deeds when he was the Prime Minister, he still demands my respect for his knowledge, his ability to answer questions from various sections of the floor with aplomb and most important of all he still retains his trademark sense of humour.

I was in attendance of the Perdana Discourse Series in which Mahathir was the keynote speaker on the topic : The Role Of The Executive, Legislative, Judiciary and Constitutional Monarchy In The Governing Of Malaysia. This is the 9th Discourse in the series.

The Perdana Discourse Series is a semi structured communication platform where a prominent presenter will speak to selected clusters of audience on a predetermined topic addressing its definition and tracing issues like policies, strategies and possible models used during the tenure of the past prime ministers, in addition to achievements accomplished throughout each of the four premierships. Discussions and issues arising from the discourse will be duly documented and mapped to form a tentative draft model of systematic connectivity incorporating strong elements vis-a-vis the issues addressed.

Getting to Putrajaya from PJ takes only around less than 20 mins now with the new Maju Expressway. The toll costs Rm 2.50 which is quite reasonable. Finding the Perdana Leadership Foundation building was kinda hard because it was our first time going there. Eventually we managed to find our way there. It was located far away from any other buildings in an idyllic location just by the lake with a beautiful backdrop of the Putrajaya main boulevard.

I will upload some pictures of this event sometime later. Now i don't really have the means and time to do it. Please do check back later.

Euphoria

Lack of practice is taking its toll on me now. the 4 1/2 hour gaming session revealed alot of weaknesses and areas to work on. close-quarters combat is still okay, need a little patience and more directional sense. assault rifle aiming is totally out, need to refocus on that side of the game for now. sniping even worst. the target spotting is poor, relocation, positional shifts and choice of hiding spots were horrendous.

i wish i had more practice time but lately the gaming community is getting smaller. several reasons can be attributed to this.

1. economic recession
2. exam season, finals and thesis
3. shifts from tdm to s&d

hopefully this situation can change so that i can get back my practice. just imagine this, i used to practice 4-5 days a week but now it is usually 1 day/week or none at all sometimes. so sad.

really ENJOYED the session yesterday as it had been quite some time i had not been able to play competitively because of my studies and exams and thesis work.

really looking forward to finishing this last paper and go for a marathon gaming session again.

merciless

In Egypt, the govt ordered 300,000 pigs to be culled. Although the new strain of flu is called the swine flu, the flu have not shown up in pigs. They are spread by humans not pigs. It is so cruel to kill all the pigs including the little ones. sobz.

one question that keeps bugging my mind when i read this article was, what are pigs doing in a country which is overwhelmingly Islamic. who are consuming the meat? i wonder..

the whole article can be read at http://worldblog.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2009/04/30/1915246.aspx

Untitled

Why la why are ppl who are acting so immaturely always come together in two and threes and nvr alone? i guess the saying 'birds of the same feather flock together' is true then. So sad lah..already an adult but still acting like kiddos playing the games kiddos do. I can only sigh and hope these ppl grow up someday.

Losing gracefully and accepting the facts of life is surely one of the hardest things to do. i have to admit that sometimes i still get upset when i lose but not to extreme measures. lately, i've seen examples of sour grapes aplenty that go to extreme measures. u really have to tip ur hat to them if you can see how low these ppl can stoop to. when i reflect on it..i sometimes laugh to myself realizing how childish they are..rofl.

let me put it in a story lah. once upon a time, there's this boy who wants this something so badly but all he does is just look at it from afar. when someone comes along and took this something away, the boy got angry. Then a wise old man who happened to passby asks the boy 1 simple question. Why were you so angry when someone took the thing you want when it was you who did not want to take it in the first place? i'll let you figure out the moral of the story.

Lip locks

I got this forwarded mail from a friend and i thought it was so sweet and romantic, so i post it up here for you all to see lah.

This is the famous upside down kiss between Mary Jane and spiderman.

This one is Robert Doisneau’s renowned 1950 black and white photo, Kiss by the Hotel de Ville, of a couple mid-lip-lock on a Paris Street.

This is the iconic image of a sailor smooching a nurse in New York’s Times Square on V-J Day.

This last picture is a scene from Breakfast at Tiffany's. Kissing in the rain is so special because when everyone else is frantically running for shelter, it makes time seem to stop for the two of them. It’s surreal and very sexy.

So many things to do, so little time

Suddenly i feel this urge to do all the things that i love as if the world's gonna end at dawn. What's wrong with me lah. Mood swings every now and then. Skejap melancholic, skejap emo, skejap happy, kejap sad. It feels like a roller coaster ride. Talking bout roller coaster, i wan to go Genting again!

i wan to play all the adrenaline charged rides.i wan to gamble. i wan to feel the cold breeze in my face again. i miss the times when i was in genting for 1 month. everyday at dawn and dusk, i'll sit at a spot where i could look down to Kuala Lumpur and day dream. Hahaha.

its been a long long time since i last played sports. body's reaction time getting slower. lembap d. can't accept that!

Who cares about exam lah! I wan to enjoy life as much as possible. And to those who keeps backstabbing me. Aku tabik sama kau orang la. Depan semua orang berlagak baik. Belakang gua kutuk gile babi. If got guts cakap terang-terang berdepan lah. Kalo nak gaduh no hal, mari lah. Don't just talk lah, actions speak louder than words.

Argh feels so good venting it all out. Fuhh. I'll lead my life the way i like it. why should i be dictated on how i should live my life.

p/s: had a good time laughin wit you guys today though there were distractions that proved so costly that the filipinos got a few rounds. they are good to look at but are a source of distraction, still we want to look. lolz

Directional chaos

Oh my goodness, the roads in Melaka changed so much already. I feel like i'm outstation now when i go to downtown.

Because i was so free, i took my time turning around the city centre and familiarize myself with the roads again. it feels so wide and smooth now, but i haven't try the weekend nite traffic yet so i can't make a judgment now.

being back at home feels so nice. being among the trees and in nature is so refreshing compared to the stifling heat and suffocating air of PJ. enjoyed the sound of birds chirping and dogs barking. feels so nice~

friday gotta go back to PJ already coz the next day got Research Methodology paper. damn it, why cant the paper be on other day? why must it be in my study week. fuck utar.

neways, being back at home makes me get bored easily because i've no internet. i turn to tv most to fill my time. and i miss my frens alot. the gaming and the mamak sessions. awh~

What the fuck !

I'm so not impressed at all with something so cheap. i'm really shocked to even hear sumone who speaks for justice support something this cheap.

i have no problem whatsoever in you all being allowed to do the paper again. But asking for the paper where you all went wrong is like having an answer key in doing the assignment again. that is a travesty to justice. where is the fairness in that?

all the minor mistakes could be zeroed in and corrected. the resulting 2nd try paper would be almost perfect. is that fair to ppl who did the paper only once?

if i were in this position, i won't even contemplate something so dishonorable. given the chance to do the assignment again is good enough! why ask for the marked script?

take for example exams, when sumone fails and take the supplementary paper, the said person can only get a maximum grade of 2.0. they don't get to be graded like the first exam. that is what i call fairness.

this whole thing is fucking ridiculous..

i don't care if it involves friends or not.. professionalism means putting aside feelings.

as long as i feel something is against my conscience i will speak up.

but if the lecturer is setting a maximum mark point of lets say 5, i'm cool with this whole thing. i got no problem at all.

if you disagree with me, come let's speak with the dean, we'll see how it turns up.

New friends

Went to william's with the ESP guys few moments ago. it was the first time i went out with them. i only know a few of them initially but now get to know more of them d lah. used to be hi and bye friends with most of them b4 this.

they are a really funny group of ppl. very interesting. really glad that i had the chance to get to know them better. really had fun just now. i had my fill of laughter bcoz superchai was super funny lah.

Ferrari 599XX

The 599XX is standard-issue Ferrari: a limited run of 30 cars or fewer, packed with technology designed for those who want to fancy themselves as fledgling Formula 1 racers. The 12-cylinder engine can hit 700 horsepower at 9000 rpm, but that’s not even the best part. The 599XX is master and commander of its airflow, using a combination of synthetic jets, boot-mounted fans and a porous diffuser to maximize downforce. So even at speeds, it’ll stick to the ground like glue. There’s no word on the price yet, but as they say, if you have to ask, you can’t afford it.

Why do women stay in abusive relationships?

Crazy Love, Crazy Choices

Earlier this spring, when pop singer Rihanna went back to the man who allegedly beat her, the blogs were full of objections to blaming the "victim." It just makes women feel bad to say, "Why doesn't she leave?" feminist commentator Amanda Marcotte wrote in her blog. Indeed, she continues, "every time we ask that, we are engaging in batterer assistance ourselves." Shouldn't we be focusing on the abusers? Well, not exactly. Old-style feminism would say "the personal is the political," as long-time columnist Katha Pollitt put it in her own tale of personal sexual betrayal, Learning To Drive: And Other Life Stories. A social movement that passed political judgment on a subject as intimate as domestic violence may be tough on the victim, but, as Pollitt concluded, "at least it offered a perspective." The alternative, she warned, is that "These days anything is feminist as long as you 'choose' it … no matter how dangerous or silly or servile or self-destructive it is."

Outrageous

Recently, BN held gave a dinner in Kampung Sepetang as part of their campaign for the DUN Bukit Gantang by-elections. Scantily clad girls were invited to sing and dance on stage after Minister in the Prime Minister's Dept and new UMNO vice-President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi concluded his speech.

When asked by reporters about the tactic of using scantily clad singing and dancing girls to fish for votes among the Chinese, Ahmad Zahid apparently said that "it is part of the Chinese culture and it should be respected".

I'm so outraged at this statement from Mr Ahmad Zahid. Since when the Chinese had a culture of having scantily clad girls performing at their ceremonies and events.

Please check your facts before you speak Mr Minister.

Your statement is very offensive.

Continue laughing, i'll laugh with u too

What is so funny about a guy handling kitchen utensils? You think guys are not made for it? Maybe you're correct. but that doesn't give u the right to laugh at guys when they handle kitchen utensils. Even if he really suck at it, give the guy a hats off for doing something that is not his forte. he's giving u equality by doing that. Laughing at the guy doesn't really help you know. Why laugh at him when he's actually helping your cause?

Actually i shouldn't even be pissed about this at all. You can continue laughing, i'll actually laugh together with you too. because in the end its not the guys who lose, its you, women who tends to lose more.

you're basically agreeing and helping perpetrate the old male chauvinist saying that a woman's place is in the home and in the kitchen. you're actually supporting the chauvinist male's perception that you're just someone who cooks, takes care of the child and nothing else. you're also indirectly telling the world you don't deserve equality and you're worthless.

congratulations on you being the female that helps perpetrate inequality.

so don't come complaining that you're not being treated equally because you yourselves brought it upon yourselves.

give some thought to that. reconsider your actions. if you still think that you want to continue laughing, i've got no qualms. i'll be your cheerleader and even laugh louder than you because i don't lose. its you who is losing the fatter end of the deal.

wahahaha.

Blardy announcement

Today was supposed to attend a meeting to listen to Dean's announcement. My tutorial group was late bcoz Prof Chan kept interrupting and probing Shan and me during our presentation. Frustrating la. How she can understand the whole study without even reading it. I seriously can't understand it. Took me few days to analyze it.

Back to the announcement. The moment i stepped into the meeting room, i already heard commotions. The people start to pass the info around that a few courses in PC block have to move to PD block this May. My first reaction was Wat The Fuck! Why? I don't want to move.

The reason was bcoz the lease contract for PG block is already up. That is not our problem right? We come to the university and the university's job is to provide place for us to study. They can't kick us around like ball. PD is fucking far. I'm super pissed about this.

Dear beloved Dean, if u happen to read my blog. My official feelings about this is that i am supremely unhappy and pissed. It's a logistical problem to get to PD. Spend more money d lor now. WTF lah.

ACC Week 4

Week 3 saw intense action and controversies as well. NX got booted out for smurfing and ESP got 1 of its ace players suspended for 1 week. ESP lost their match to Indonesian team Coop and their second match against NX was nvr played bcoz of NX failure to agree to a time for a match.

Week 4 will see ESP without the services of Quack as he is suspended for this week. ESP will have to take on the Bf.Nut juggernaut that is still undefeated and then try to get the upper hand against their local rivals SWL a few hours later.

All this is happening on Friday, 27th February. The match against Bf.Nut will be starting at 5.30pm and the SWL match is at 8.30pm. The first match will be shoutcasted by arseynimz and DA. You can catch the shoutcast at gamestah.

I will be at proX to watch Malaysia's no.1 esp.susu anchoring his team without the presence of his most dependable teammate and sidekick esp.Quack.

Interesting. I think Bf.Nut will prevail although it will be a close match.

Pheewwit

Lately many hawt chics are coming to Blitzone for gaming sessions. So coincidentally, they usually go at the times that i am there. Most of the time they play either Dota or L4D. SOmetimes they go there to surf net and facebook. Lulz.

These chics are eye candies to most of our geng. Wahaha. Thou pleasing to look at, they can be distracting as well. Once we turn to look at them, we don't watch our screens anymore. That split second will coz pwnage to happen on us.

Neway damn syok la to see galz getting into the gaming scene. PC gaming do not belong to the guys exclusively. They belong to the galz as well. So, go gaming galz. If you can pwn the guys, even better.

ESP vs RnF

The lag problem came back to haunt ESP in the first game at Vacant even though Holyboy played at home. The ping was around 300-400 and it was impossible for ESP to win the first game. They tried their best but it was in vain. ESP lost 13-5.

Then Susu went back to play at home leaving Quack, Pikachu and Nobie at ProEx. The ping got better when it was only 3 players at ProEx. The line was really bad especially during the night. Many ppl playin online games.

ESP owned the 2nd set at Crossfire winning by 13-4. Susu top scored here with 18 kills and 6 deaths.

The 3rd set was at District. This game proved to be a close 1. ESP was trailing 8-4 at some point fo the game before they came back strongly and won it 13-11.

Week2 ended with 1 win and 1 loss for ESP.Gaming. Looking forward to week 3.

ESP.Gaming vs [JEDI] Donkey Punch

The ACC game between ESP and JEDI.DP was a no contest as lag killed of any chance of ESP making a game out of it. The ping went up to as high as 600. I dont understand how can a connection between Singapore and Malaysia be that bad. Totally spoilt my day. Was anticipating a close game between the 2 COD4 titans. But what a letdown it was.

Anyway, rules are still rules and a win is still a win. So gg to JEDI and congrats for the win.

On another note, i think games with both the JEDI teams should not be hosted by the JEDI server. It's unfair. A neutral server should be used to host the games of JEDI teams.

Asian Call of Duty 4 Championship

It's finally here. The Asian Call of Duty 4 Championship (ACC)is a platform where COD4 players from all over Asia can get together and pit their skills.

The ACC is sponsored by Fragnetics LLP (http://v2.fragnetics.com/). Fragnetics provide 2 servers on which the gamers will play on.

There are other server hosts too besides Fragnetics like the JEDI Promod server, United XEF-CERT Promod Server, and the PXGL/CEBU Promod Server among many others.

Fragnetics is a leading Singapore game server provider that offers web hosting and web application development services.Over the years we have grown an enthusiastic community by hosting PC games such as Counterstrike, Call of Duty, Battlefield, and PlaneShift. We are Battlefield 2 and 2142 ranked server providers appointed by Electronic Arts, operators of Singapore's first Steam Content Server, and platform providers for tournaments such as the World Cyber Games (WCG) Asian Championship. We host and manage enthusiast websites such as the VR-Zone forums, customize and develop content management systems for top local schools, and also assist artists in cyberart exhibitions.

The ACC format is a league style format. 30 teams play against each other and the winner will be the one at the top of the table once every team have played each other. Winners of each match receives 2 points, draw 1 point and losers, 0 points.

The type of game which will be played in the ACC is Search and Destroy 5 vs 5, best of 3 games. If a team/clan wins 2 games in a row, there is no need to go into the 3rd game.

Refreshing change

During the CNY holidays, my friends introduced a new Chinese rock duo's song to me. I was quite impressed to be honest. If i'm not mistaken, they are Chinese music's first male and female rock duo. Their brand of music was good. Reminds me of Roxette. Way to go 神木與瞳. I'm looking forward to hear more music from you two. Their song that i liked the most now is 為你而活.

You can watch the MV on youtube by click this link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-sH1U4HiOM

I highly recommend it. Enjoy watching.

CNY and karaoke-ing

This CNY was kinda fun for me. I went visiting from the 2nd day till the 5th day. Terror kan? It a record for me coz all along i only went visiting on the 3rd day which was our usual day. But this year we had to improvise. Previous experience told us that a single day is not enough to cover all the houses that we wish to go, so we accomodate more days lo. Many friends also have to start working on the 3rr/4th day. We don't have the pleasure of choosing our time like in the past anymore.

I got to see many friends again this year. Really miss all of them a lot. We talked, gambled, drank, ate and gossipped all day. So fun la reliving the good old days. Oh ya, got to see Hoong after such a long time. I really2 missed you, you know not? I had fun spending half the day with you.

Also got to spend time with vin and neth. Kinda long nvr lepak with them d. Oh ya this year some of them visited my house. Most of the time tak jadi go my house 1 coz out of the way but this year jadi ohh..hahha. They untung la, go my house got double ang pow 1. Ish. Hahaha

On the 4th day, i reserved the whole day for my F6 buddies. We went to Dreambox karaoke. Had plenty of fun there. Met up with so many friends that i din get to keep in touch with since going separate ways after F6. Sadly, due to miscommunication quite many classmates din make it to Dreambox. For me, it was enough though coz the ppl that i really wanted to see mostly turned up.

Hopefully next year, we could do this again. Most of us will be working already by then. Hopefully la. I really love these kinda big gatherings. Always got new things to update 1. Hehe

Wordless

Saw HER again after a long time. Used to have much to talk about but now we're like so distant. However, the awkwardness that i expected wasn't there. I guess i don't care anymore. But my heart still jumped a few beats the moment i laid my eyes on her. Why ah? Hmm i think i should just let it slide coz i'm not ready anyway. I'm still too selfish to share my time with other ppl. Shud i change? All my friends say i should. How? Haih~~

Relief

Yesterday was the day that i had to come face to face with my FYP supervisor's feedback on my chapter 2. I was prepared for the worst. She said she expected 15-20 pages from but i only submitted 12-13 pages including biblio.

When the moment arrived, the words that came out of her mouth afforded me a huge sigh of relief. She said i did quite good and i covered a lot of stuff. I was seriously surprised. I did my best but i still felt that it was insufficient. Luckily she said it's ok. We talked for about 1 1/2 hrs. Crazy la.

After we're done, the sky opened and poured crazily. I'm stuck at campus at around 6pm. What a time to get stuck. my plans rosak habis.

Went to Blitz to COD4. It's my stress relief mechanism. Got pwned by Nobie. Made me so frustrated and yet i realized that if i want to improve i have to bear with being pwned by pros. After that, KP stopped playin and gave me instructions on rushing and sneaking. Lolz. Did quite well after that but it was without Nobie and Goat around la. Only YuiLover there to offer resistance.

Thats it for today. This weekend going back for CNY. Won't be blogging until the week after. So see ya ppl and Happy Chinese New Year to everyone.

Ratu (no more)

Above is a picture of the Indonesian pop duo Ratu. It consists of Maia Estianty and Mulan Kwok(left). They were famous for the song Teman Tapi Mesra which was a hit. Too bad, this duo split in the year 2007. No more great songs to hear haih. Ignore the pic at the top. Bad photography. Mulan looks much prettier than this. Google her if u dun believe me. Below are other pictures of them.

The reason for the breakup was said to be because of a man. Why of all people must it be over a man? Why lah !
Maia and Mulan were said to be close. In fact VERY close - and even lesbian lovers. (rumoured lah)
So Maia’s husband, Ahmad Dhani, of Dewa19, gets jealous. Feeling guilty, Maia then suggests a threesome romp with Mulan. Maia later says to the press she was just joking but nobody really believes her.
But Ahmad Dhani doesn’t like jokes. And he sees an opportunity. He was said to have taken a tumble or two with Mulan. I don't know true or not la. I give Mulan the benefit of the doubt coz she's a nice person.
Another source said that the breakup was caused by disagreement between Maia and Dhani. The egoist and arrogant Dhani who was acting as the manager of Ratu said "Do things my way or there is no way". Maia wanted to do things her way and it resulted in the break up.
I hate you Ahmad Dhani. You caused the breakup of one of the hottest female duo in the music industry. Now i don't get great songs and nice chics to look at d. Damn you.
Maia was granted a divorced from Dhani by the courts and she also finally got custody of her 3 children.
Maia is now furthering her career by recruiting another hot chic, Mey Chan to be the vocalist to her band, Maia and friends. Mulan meanwhile is now a solo singer with the name Mulan Jameela. It was given by Ahmad Dhani.
Here is a link to the hit song Teman Tapi Mesra. They damn hot la in the video. oh ya, if u duno how to bezakan them right, the vocalist is Mulan. She pandai menggoda. Just watch and u will know wat i mean. The one who play keyboard and guitar is Maia. She's the cun 1. Multi-talented. She wrote the song Teman Tapi Mesra.
Actually both also i damn cun ler..but i prefer Maia.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona

Rebecca Hall (left) and Scarlet Johansson in Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

Up and coming star Hall totally captured my attention as she gave a powerful performance. I was also entranced by her natural look that was so beautiful. I would say that she captured my attention more than Johansson or Penelope Cruz. Cruz wasn't so pretty here with her tousled hair, just up from bed look. Johansson, hmm i just have this nagging feeling about her because she's blonde. People say blondes are dumb. Lol. My fav here was Hall. Absolutely love her and her plus point was that she's a brunette. Wahaha.

The synopsis of this movie can be found by clicking here. It was worth my time watching. A very good movie. Shame on Malaysia for not showing it in cinemas.

My next 2 movies to watch are Revolutionary Road and The Reader. One of my all time favourite actress Kate Winslet stars in both. Revolutionary Road is the first time that Leonardo DiCaprio and Winslet paired up since their blockbuster movie, Titanic. Really can't wait.
