R.A.T

We finished runner up in the RAT. Lost to the hot favourites ReF. We met them twice. First it was quite early and they sent us to the loser's bracket with a humiliating score of 13-5 at the map Crash. We literally got our asses raped. We had no answer for their mid rushes.

So we have to make our way back to the grand finals from the loser's bracket. Team Kuku Gaming and Rx (formerly TeamAura) gave us a run for our money. Hats off to them. Not forgetting team FuDkoT which is basically team XIII Exiles who managed to get 8 or 9 games (cant remember exactly) off us at Backlot.

In the grand final. We meet ReF for the 2nd time in the tournament. They again vetoed Crossfire which is my best map. I chose to veto Crash for my team because of the nightmare we had earlier in the tournament. The map chosen by the organizers were District. We won the knife round and chose defense to start the game. At half time we were already trailing 7-5. The final score was 13-7. All credit to team ReF. They fully deserve this win. They've been training hard with all the strong teams for RAT. For my team which consisted of 2 ESP, 2 Coop and 1 freelance player. We only had 1 real practice session to get to know each others game.

So yeah, that's how it goes. Personally i was a bit upset with myself. Disappointed might be a better word. Lolx. I seriously could not do anything when Sapiyo rushed me at Crash the first time both our teams met early in the tournament. Then at District for not putting up a tougher fight and make ReF sweat for the victory.

More and more

Since i became a part of the coop organization, I've got to know more and more people in the Cod4 community. Some i have known for sometime already but now become much closer because of my affiliation. Almost everyday got ppl ajak to scrim. Sometimes in a single night can scrim with 3-4 teams. Learning more and more things and improving at the same time. It's so fun now. Damn many friends now..hehehe

O M G

I did not know! Damn it. All these while i thought they were some guys using their girlfriends name as their IGN. Lolx.

The FnF-Female na Female COD4 team, which was composed of all girls has proven once more to all that gaming is not only a male hobby. They hail from the Phillipines and i've played with some of them on public servers. They are for real. I've played with Ashley, Aya, Khimphot and Ayoe on public servers. I have to admit that I got my ass kicked a few times. They are really really good snipers. Don't believe me? Go TFK or CEBU servers and try ! Don't say i never warn you.

Frustrating

I fail to perform up to expectations again today in a scrim for coop. feel so bad to let my teammates down. my reading of enemy strategy is poor and adapting to their changes is even worse. my cqc abilities have dropped a notch as well. need to buck up. need some intensive training and more scrims.

horrible

i seriously suck..finished bottom in a mix scrim against Jedi. i need to buck up A LOT. awareness still at a level that is too low. really let nobie and quack down big time today..fuck lah..i will do better. i promise.

update

this is a super short update. just want to write something here. this past few days i've been training scope drag shots and i'm proud to announce that i have added a mid to long range scope drag shot to my growing repertoire of skills. ahahaha. i use to suck at sniping. now i can at least challenge the established snipers abit. still need alot of spotting and hiding skills.

i-16

i-16 was damn fun but tiring as well. we were drawn against esp#paNIK in the first round. It was double elimination. So one map was played only. the winners of the knife round got to choose the side. the organizers chose the maps for us. esp won the knife round and the map was district. we lost 13-7. good try though. We're not really that disappointed as i have seen improvement in my team. furthermore we were up against the eventual champs and msia's no1 team. so no regrets. we were then dropped into the losers bracket where we faced pendulum_revive. The map was strike. we drew 12-12 on mr12. on mr3 we lost 4-1. abit sad though for this one as the win was there for the taking. too bad we couldn't keep our composure at the vital moments. anyway gg guys. let's improve more. we'll give esp a better fight next time.

in terms of personal achievements, i felt that today i performed quite well. however, i'm still no match for quacks super fast reflexes. when he took over the smg. i was in deep trouble whenever i met him. just couldn't out reflex him. just too fast and too good. even when he had sniper, his deagle still pwned me. sigh. need to really buck up. against pendulum, basically i had no problems individual wise. team work wise. we need to improve.

Below is a picture of my team with SWL.aBuse at i-16.

Promod Tour

It was a successful event. Had so much fun. However the end was kinda frustrating for me. I was deprived of an official runner-up spot by Eric's butt. He caused Rojak's PC to restart which meant all records for my server were gone. So i had to "o-jus" with another player to see who got 2nd prize. WTF weii..no fair man..anyway that guy was steady la..b4 we "o-jus" we agreed that we should split the money gained from the prize after selling it. But money isn't my concern..i wan the recognition..if i'm not mistaken i had 400+ points lor..clearly a runner-up spot. sighz.

the champion was KePang as i expected. he had no challenge. no one's skill level is anywhere near him. furthermore i was in different server than him. if i had been his opponent, i might be able to do something about his "IMBA" score of 500+.

i might wan to join again tml if D&G gives me the green light. i wan go sapu the DeathAdder. Wahaha.

ACC2

The Asian Call of Duty 4 Championships (ACC) season 2 is kicking of this monday. 40 teams from countries all around Asia will be competing this season. Last season saw teams from Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and India taking part. This season, the ACC really takes on the Asian flavour as teams from Japan, Korea, China, Thailand and many more countries will be joining.

I can't wait to start going. Been waiting for so long for season 2 to start. This is so exciting. Each team can have a lineup of 10 people. It is an increase from the 7 of last season. ACC2 is also recognized by ESPGL and points can be earned for the PSL rankings chart.

Bring on the international challenge man. Asian superstardom is within reach. Looking to perform well here and get noticed by pro clans..woohooo

Nerd rage

Today, we had a scrim with rF. The scrim wasn't perfect because the line in blitz was giving us ping spikes. we played 3 maps: crash, strike and crossfire. the first 2 maps were ok but during the 3rd map one of our guys went crazy and erupted like a volcano. we gamers called it a nerd rage. he just slammed the table, threw his mouse away and walked out. the mouse flew across my face and landed near my friend. i was like "WTF! is going on". It was just the lag. i don't know why he was so upset about it. cope with it man.

in my opinion, ppl like this should not get involved in serious gaming. if you want to call urself a gamer, you must be able to endure being pwned, humiliated, scolded and taunted. if you can't do that then dont play! get lost and play at home.

it's all a learning curve. come on ! kiasu also no need until like this. put the kiasu-ness to good use and improve.

Opportunity to learn

Yesterday in the middle of a scrim with esp.neMesis, quack from esp.Bz xfired me and asked me to play for his team in a scrim with XIII this saturday because they are short of players. i wanted to answer him immediately but did not have a chance as i was concentrating so hard on the scrim against neMesis.

i had to make him wait so long for my reply..truly felt bad for it. sorry quack.

anyway, i 'm so happy to be given a chance to play for his team, the no1 team in malaysia. it's an honor to play with them as it will allow me to learn so much stuff.

playing with the best smg player in quack gives me the chance to learn the tricks and secrets of close quarters combat. further more, with the best assault rifle player in Susu and the best sniper in Nobie covering my back, i feel so safe. it allows me more freedom to do more and not worry about being shot from behind.

this is really a golden opportunity. thank my lucky stars that quack actually thought of me when finding a replacement.

hopefully i can fit into their gameplan and follow all their strategy and commands. so nervous..hahaha

The Megasoma & Naga plus a StarCraft II themed bag

Professional gaming equipment maker Razer just announced the coming release of two new line of products. They are the Megasoma hybrid gaming mat and the MMO gaming mouse, Naga.

The development of the Razer Megasoma was driven by a single goal; create a mouse pad that compromises nothing. We combined the best features of a hard and soft mat to create a hybrid of tracking excellence. The result is a pro gamer validated mat that blends the legendary tracking of our hard mats with the comfort and feel of our soft mats.

Constructed from highly durable translucent silicone and accented with a luminous imbedded logo, the Razer Megasoma is the most tracking proficient mouse pad ever created. Nothing compromised; nothing comparable.

The Razer Megasoma is a hybrid of a hard and a soft mouse mat which fuses superior tracking quality and precision of a hard mat with a comfortable feel and an incredibly smooth glide of a soft mat.

The ultra-durable dent-free surface of an oversized hard mat are made for wide hand movements, while enjoying the translucent silicone of the Megasoma and its unique luminous logo shining through.

Also, the flexibility of silicone makes the Razer Megasoma extremely portable, letting you roll up and take your game to your favorite LAN sessions.

Writer's comment: What attracted me the most about this mat is the brilliant white colour of the mat and the greenish luminescent logo. I've also been long intrigued by the feel and advantages offered by the hard gaming mat as i only owned a soft mat, thus this hybrid that offers the best of both worlds is a must get for me.

The Razer Naga is the ultimate Massively Multiplayer Online Gaming mouse that shifts the balance between keyboard and mouse by putting an unprecedented number of in-game commands in one place. A multi-button thumb grid and Razer’s MMO game interface add-on combine to place every command you need in the palm of your hand. An ergonomic form shaped to maximize ease of use lets you game in comfort for hours on end.

It will be a straight out battle between ESP.Gaming of Malaysia and JEDI DP from Singapore. Being a Malaysian and friends of the ESP players, i definitely wish for them to win.

Pwn-age

Woooohooo...had not had so much fun in a long long time already. I never regret going to game today. Pwning asses from the start, no warm up needed, it's been a long time coming man..the pent up aggression.

Was top fraggin for sometime when suddenly at the bottom left corner of the screen i saw "Susu has joined the game". I thought, i'm on a hot streak, doesn't matter 1 lah. In a blink of an eye, an ominous warning sign appeared. I was sniped by susu. Then the hot streak became a cold dying streak. I was like KNN WTF !!!

I have to admit, susu alwiz pwn my ass. no argument bout that, doesn't matter if i'm a hot streak or not. when he's playing, he pours cold water onto ppl's hot streaks. he's still the no1 in msia.
